Gerry was appointed CEO of Irish Life Investment Managers (ILIM) in 2005. Prior to this Gerry was responsible for development of ILIM’s investment services and for client portfolio management and at earlier career stages stage was Head of FIxed Income and Chief Economist. He graduated from University College Dublin with a first class honours degree in Economics. He then spent two years at the Economic & Social Research Institute and went on to complete a postgraduate degree at the London School of Economics. He subsequently lectured in Economics at University College Cork.
In 1982, he joined the Central Bank where he was a member of the Economic forecasting team Gerry served on the Board of the Irish Association of Pension Funds for a number of years and is former Chairman of the Irish Association of Investment Managers. Gerry retired as CEO of ILIM in October 2013.
He is currently non executive director of : Irish Life Investment Managers / Setanta Asset Managers / ILIM Funds PLC / Summit Asset Managers / Merrion Stockbrokers Ltd / Mediolanum Asset Managers.
